According to rumors, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released earlier than expected thanks for the problems of Vanguard. Activision is thinking of cleaning Call of Duty: Vanguard and focus on the sequel to the hugely successful movie Modern War (2019). Meanwhile, the original battle royale launched with Modern War (2019) in mind, so it could be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will integrate more smoothly with the popular battle royale.

Sledgehammer Games’ Founder Glenn Schofield Moves Into His New Studio Striking Distance Studios, and Sledgehammer’s first title without Schofield seems to have fallen short. One might wonder if this is the last major effort allowed by the developer, and could it be that Sledgehammer is used as a Call of Duty Exclusive support team moving forward, similar to the role of Raven Software.
