VALUABLE Players can expect to enjoy five plus points with their friends regardless of rank in Patch 3.10. But the update also introduces changes to “minimize competitive integrity issues,” according to Riot Games.
Crush ranked matches in VALUABLE can be a difficult experience, especially when queuing alone or playing with a smaller group. Sometimes you can’t play with your friends if they have a higher rank, which makes that experience limited and disappointing. Patch 3.10 removes these restrictions by allowing players to stack five stacks with friends regardless of rank.
Riot explains one of the most popular reasons for smurf accounts is for players to be able to play ranked matches with their friends. Eliminating the five stack boundaries for all ranks will eliminate this problem and will help prevent destruction of the competitive integrity of the game.
While players can now enjoy five stacks with no ranking restrictions, there are important new changes to consider. If stack five contains at least one Diamond Two player, the team will face extended queue times while VALUABLE try to find five other stacks with similar average MMR. Rank gain and loss (RR) will also decrease when played in a year-over-year based on the difference in rank within the group.
For example, if the team’s lowest player is Silver One and the highest is Platinum One, the team will receive a 50% reduction in RR because the highest and lowest members are both out of a rank outside the limits. current rating system. If the lowest member of the team is Bronze One and the highest one is Platinum, the team will receive a 75 percent reduction because the four-ranked pool falls outside the standard pool restrictions.
A minimum 50 percent RR reduction is applied to all five stacks including at least one player with a Triple Diamond rating or higher, this goes up to 90 percent based on skill difference. For example, if four members of a pool are Immortals and one is Diamond Two, that group will experience a 75% reduction in RR profit and loss. If the lowest player is Diamond Three, the RR will be reduced by 50%.
If at least one player in the five stack is Radiant, a 75 percent RR reduction will be applied. An indefinite timeout will also apply as the game will only match a squad with the same 5 plus MMR. If any member of stack five has a lower-ranked Radiant player, the party will automatically suffer a 90% RR reduction.
Riot has also removed four stacks from the competition queue. According to Riot, these groups often “leave the rest of the solo queue players to have a relatively poor gameplay experience” – and this change will help prevent that from happening.
Riot confirmed that they will be monitoring the changes over the next few weeks and making further adjustments as needed.
