Valkyrae reveals remaining time on her YouTube contract

Popular content creator and YouTube streamer Gaming Valkyrae revealed exactly how much time is left on her contract with the company.
Streamer Rachel “Valkyrae” Hofstetter is one of the most popular streamers and content creators in the world, and for the past few years she’s been streaming exclusively on YouTube. Valkyrae has signed a lucrative contract to stream exclusively on YouTube, but it looks like that deal is coming to an end. Valkyrae recently sent out a tweet revealing the exact date her YouTube contract expires and the streaming time she still owes on it.
According to Valkyrae, her contract with YouTube expires on Saturday, January 15, and she still has to go live 198 hours before it expires. Valkyrae asked her Twitter followers what she should be streaming and asked if anyone wanted to play with her to help get through those 198 hours. The tweet garnered more than 100,000 likes and over 1,000 replies as people offered suggestions on how Valkyrae could meet her 198-hour obligation by January 15.
Valkyrae has over a month to hit 198 hours of streaming on YouTube, and so she shouldn’t have a big problem hitting that goal as long as she’s streaming consistently. Needless to say, Valkyrae fans should have plenty of streams to look forward to between now and January 15, so this is definitely a win for them.
Perhaps the most exciting thing about Valkyrae ending his contract with YouTube is what it means for the streamer’s future. Valkyrae has built a huge following on YouTube and several other top streamers have moved to the platform since she signed on a few years ago, including Dr Dispect, TimTheTatman and more recently. Best, Ludwig. Considering this, it’s entirely possible that Valkyrae will stick with YouTube instead of Twitch even if her exclusive contract expires.
It’s also possible that Valkyrae will turn to Twitch or turn his attention elsewhere. Valkyrae has denied that she will stop streaming, but maybe she will focus more on her E-sports organization 100 Thieves and other business projects. After all, Valkyrae rose to the top of the streaming world and even won Award for Content Creator of the Year at The Game Awards, so she’ll probably want to conquer other areas of the industry.
A lot of people will keep an eye on Valkyrae no matter what she decides, as she remains one of the most popular game streamers and content creators in the world. So while it’s unclear exactly what her future holds at this point, fans should expect Valkyrae to continue to be in the spotlight for a while.
