Urban Outfitters Launches UO Summer Class of 2021 HBCU Capsule – WWD

Urban dressers released the special edition UO Summer Class 2021 HBCU Capsule Collection, an exclusive collection of student clothing and lifestyle accessories.
It was designed by the UO Summer Class of 2021, a 10-week internship and mentoring program for five students recognized for their academic excellence and creative talent, in partnership with three Historically Black Colleges and Universities – Howard University, Clark Atlanta University, and North Carolina A&T State University.
The students worked with Urban dressers purchasing team to design a 24-piece clothing and lifestyle collection that celebrates the cultures and communities of their respective schools.
“Being able to share our resources with the talent of HBCU, and work alongside these students’ creativity as they develop their own products, has enriched the Summer Classroom not only for our students but also for every UO employee who has participated in the program,” said Dalila Shannon, Urban Outfitters women’s division sales manager and summer class counselor.
Outfits include a Champion sweatshirt and a long-sleeved T-shirt featuring the student’s original graphic.
