Upscaling is fast becoming the industry standard in modern AAA gaming, if it isn’t already. Nvidia and AMD have their own versions of which Intel is working on one for its upcoming series of GPUs, although the “team green” algorithm is probably the more popular one. People who like Back to 4 health using Nvidia’s DLSSor Deep Learning Super Sampling, with the aim of improving image fidelity using machine learning. However, not every system will be compatible with it, as it turns out to be an upcoming version of Valve Steam floor Handheld PCs will not have this specific upgrade technology.

According to a recent report, the Steam Deck will not be able to use DLSS, which could be a concern for some. However, the reason why is quite simple. Nvidia’s technology requires one of its own graphics cards, specifically one from RTX, such as RTX 3070 Ti Eg. Since the Deck uses AMD products, it will not be compatible with the competitor’s upgrade algorithm. But that means it can run FidelityFX Super Resolution or AMD’s FSR, it will still be upgradable, just not Nvidia’s instead. It can also be compatible with Intel’s upcoming Super Sampling Vehicle.
