Update: Halo Infinite will get the warm-up replay campaign mission

Update: 343 Industries has explained that they are currently working on a way to make the campaign mission replayable on Halo Infinite.

Talk to Verge“We haven’t announced a date yet, but it’s a work in progress,” says 343 Industries’ creative director and vice president, Paul Crocker.

“We want replays to work well, and when you have a more open-minded game, it gets a lot more complicated,” Crocker continued. “So we made the decision to improve the quality of the single-player campaign to make sure that, as a foundation, it’s as strong as possible so that we can then add more features back in. ”

With Crocker not announcing a date for this feature, there’s no telling for now just when it can be done. We hope that it is not a feature that is a victim of Halo Infinite Live Multiplayer Service, isolated for a while and brought back to make the game fun again in six months time.

Original Story: Speaking to Polygon, Microsoft confirmed one of the Halo InfiniteThe weirdest design decision that you can’t replay the story missions.

Regardless of their length or linear nature, Halo games always have the option to replay campaign missions once you’ve completed them. With skulls to find and use, as well as sometimes collectible or easter eggs to discover, you might want to do a quest or two again.

In Halo Infinite, however, you keep in mind that it’s full of collectibles, which is also the case, as the campaign missions are not replayable. This means that if you miss the audio logs or one of the few skulls during the campaign missions, you won’t be able to go back and get them after the fact.

Talking to Polygon a Microsoft representative confirmed that “although” the post-game gives you the option to continue exploring the larger environment, for missions like the first two, when you haven’t present in the ring, you cannot replay it from the same save file. ”

“You can get any target, remaining FOB price, [and] audio diary, but the main quest of the story will not repeat,” repeated the agent.

If you want to get the skulls you accidentally missed, then you’ll have to say goodbye to all your progress, as until 343 Industries rolls out the replayable quests, if they do OK, your only option is to start your entire campaign all over again in a new mission save the file.

Despite the lack of replayable missions, in our Halo Infinite review, we said “it may have taken six years, but Halo Infinite was worth the wait,” as it was a success of open-world design, gameplay, and storytelling.

Halo Infinite Releases December 8, 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC. The game is also available day one on Xbox Game Pass.
