Upcoming movie ‘Scream’ officially gets an R rating and fans love it


The fifth part in Screaming The movie franchise hits theaters next month and fans are eagerly awaiting its arrival. The popular horror series has amassed an incredible fanbase all over the world, and it’s been fully bootstrapped over the past few months.
With special anniversary screenings taking place in October, the film’s 25th anniversary on December 20, and the 2022 season in Screaming As the franchise hits theaters on January 14, there are plenty of rumors in the area of Ghostface.
Stills and a trailer for the film have been released online, and today Scream has received an official R rating. NS MPA shared ratings for several upcoming movies and Screaming already on the list.
Screaming – Rated R for strong gory violence, language throughout, and some sexual references.
Screaming Fans of the franchise are excited about the ratings, hitting Reddit’s r/horror subreddit page to herald the news that this is an adults-only (wink, nudge) movie experience. They noted they would be disappointed if the film was expected to earn less than an R rating and were eager to see what the warning about “strong bloody violence” was.
One fan stated, “I’ll be disappointed if it’s less than R deserved.”
One fan called this rating “just what the doctor ordered.”
For another fan, the R rating promises a great horror experience, reflected in the comment, “This is going to be good, can’t wait.”
