Union Minister Pralhad Joshi says party leadership has not spoken to him about succeeding Yediyurappa

Union Minister for Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi on saturday said BJP Top leadership has not talked to him about the succession of Minister BS Yediyurappa, who appears to be leaving, and only the media is discussing the matter. Like Yediyurappa announced that he would follow the party’s uniform directive on July 25, Joshi said he did not know if the central leadership had asked him to step down.

Joshi told reporters: “Nobody has talked to me about it yet (succeeding Yediyurappa). Only the media is discussing it. Since no one has spoken to me yet, there is no need to react.” Joshi told reporters.

When asked what would happen if he was made a minister, the Union minister quipped, “I never answer hypothetical questions with ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’.. I don’t want to answer. answer such questions.”

To a question, Joshi said he would not react as he did not know that the Minister had been asked to resign.

He emphasized that the ‘supreme leaders’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in addition to the BJP leadership board led by the party chairman JP Nadda will decide.

“There is no high command in the BJP but the leadership of the country. We have different leadership positions from time to time. There is Rajnath Singh, then Nitin Gadkari, who was succeeded by Amit Shah and now is JP Nadda. , we have supreme leaders Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. They will decide,” Joshi said.
