Unemployment claims: 222,000 Americans sought unemployment benefits last week
The trade deficit narrowed in October, while consumer spending grew in the month at its fastest pace since March last year, according to a report from the Commerce Department. Taken together, the three reports have prompted many economists and companies to revise their projections for economic growth for the rest of the year.
