UN urges talks on Western Sahara after cease-fire breakdown

The decision calls on the events to renew U.N.-led negotiations with out preconditions, “taking into consideration the efforts made since 2006 and subsequent developments with a view to attaining a simply, lasting and mutually acceptable political resolution, which is able to present for the self-determination of the individuals of Western Sahara.” It says this must be completed “within the context of preparations according to the rules and functions of the Constitution of the United Nations, and noting the position and the obligations of the events on this respect.”
