A Brand New Tom Clancy Game Will Be Revealed Later Tonight And Possibly Rumor Ubisoft cross Battlecat.
With Rainbow Six Siege still getting support and The Division: Heartland and Rainbow Six Extraction game, you wouldn’t think Ubisoft has room for another Tom Clancy game.
But it does and the publisher is teasing a reveal trailer for its latest Tom Clancy project. It will go live tonight at 7pm BST / 8pm CEST.
There’s been some speculation that it could be a new entry in the completely neglected Splinter Cell series but IGN was able to share an exclusive short about some of the games and it’s nothing like the action series. stealthy action.
The clip is only 25 seconds long but between the timer at the top of the screen and the killstreak card that pops up, it looks like another competitive multiplayer shooter.
This is most likely a rumor The DivisionL Battlecat, rumors made the rounds online in early June. It is described as a hybrid PvP game and is a cross between several games by Tom Clancy, including The Division and Splinter Cell.
The only other detail given is that it is being developed for consoles and PC, though it wouldn’t be surprising if it turned out to be a free-to-play game. Ubisoft said in a recent financial report that it will focus more on free games in the future.
Still, it’s odd that Ubisoft would make another Tom Clancy multiplayer shooter when it already has the aforementioned Rainbow Six Siege, as well as mobile division game release this year or early 2022 – will also be PvP.
While there is clearly an audience for the genre, a publisher with two or three games of the same genre seems to run the risk of splitting that audience and hampering the sales of each game. But we will have to wait until Ubisoft itself provides specific information.
