Twitter says it will shut down disappearing ‘Fleets’ feature

(Reuters) – Twitter Inc stated on Wednesday it would shut down its ephemeral posts characteristic known as Fleets on Aug. 3 after the product failed to achieve traction with customers.

The shutdown comes simply eight months after the social media platform rolled out Fleets to all its customers globally, and only one month after it started testing promoting inside the characteristic.

In a weblog publish on Wednesday, Twitter stated it had not seen a rise within the variety of new customers posting Fleets because it had hoped.
