With many parts of the world still under lockdown, the growth of streaming platforms like Twitch, Facebook Gaming and YouTube Gaming are to be expected. Celebrities have become celebrities in their own right, whether they are former pro players like Ninja or unique content creators like Offline TV’s LilyPichu. One Twitch streamer that’s been growing in popularity recently is Emily “Emiru” Schunk. Recently, Emiru surprised the audience by showing off a huge soap collection in one of her livestreams.

On Twitch, Emiru has grown her channel to over 600,000 followers since first streaming in 2016. Starting with League of Legends game stream, Emiru has finally moved on to varied game content, with her most recent title being Super Mario 64. However, Emiru is not only known for her personality as a livestream but also as a very successful cosplayer. Dressed up as celebrities, she has hundreds of followers on Twitter and Instagram. Given how popular she is, learning more about her personal interests could be something Emiru’s fans will appreciate.

On a recent Twitch stream, Emiru happened to be browsing her subReddit thread when she came across a thread about soap. Her viewers immediately appreciated her, asking for a “soap tour”. She explained that fellow Twitch streamer, Tectone, is known for The Genshin effect content stream, called her about her tendency to hoard when it comes to soap. After that, Emiru continued to go off-screen to collect her collection and present it to her current viewers. While in person, she counted the number of bottles she had on hand, eventually coming to a total of 38 bottles. She also shared that she has another 25 bottles left.

Emiru explains that soap is something people use every day, and she discovered that Bath and Body Works’ foaming hand sanitizer changed her life. Especially since the brand rolls out seasonal items that can only be purchased at specific times of the year. Given her intense love for soap, chances are Emiru will collaborate with a brand in the future or create her own, although hopefully not quite like what happened with the soap. Twitch Streamers like Emiru certainly provide viewers with a unique form of online entertainment. Hopefully her love for hand soap won’t go unnoticed by brands and will actually lead to her creating her own merchandise. This is something her fans can definitely look forward to.
