Aric Almirola wins playoff at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (July 18)

NASCAR race recap: Aric Almirola shocked the NASCAR world after he won Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Almirola entered day 27 on the points standings and earned a spot in the knockout round.

Almirola took a 25 lap lead in the 293 lap race, which was cut eight laps short due to darkness. Almirola stopped the tough Christopher Bell and caused one of the biggest upsets of the entire 2021 NASCAR season.
