A member of Tunisia’s COVID-19 task force, Dr Hachemi Louzer, said the man was from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Louzer said that on Friday he tested positive at Tunis International Airport after arriving from Istanbul and a follow-up sample test at the Pasteur Institute of Public Health in the capital Tunis, had confirm omicron variation.
