TUCKER GOES OFF: Says Pelosi Knows Who Is Behind Jan. 6 Capitol Breach But is Refusing to Say

Fox News host Tucker Carlson said during Wednesday’s opening monologue that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., “Knows Why” the U.S. Capitol was demolished on Jan. but she didn’t say.

After recounting that the House sergeant had refused repeated requests from the head of the Capitol Police for the National Guard in the days leading up to the incident because everyone involved knew that a large crowd was coming to hear US President Donald Trump speak, Carlson noted that concerns had arisen with the breach of the Capitol Building.

“January 6 is one of the most discussed events in modern American history, and more than six months later, we still don’t know why it happened. No one can explain that,” Carlson said.

“Nancy Pelosi knows why it happened. She can tell us why it happened if she feels like it,” continued Carlson.

“Sergeant-at-Arms reports directly to Nancy Pelosi. She’s the Speaker of the House, but on multiple occasions, Pelosi has worked to thwart any investigation into the state of security at the Capitol on January 6,” he added.

In recent weeks, Pelosi has formed a committee to look into the origins of the January 6 breach of Capitol. All members of the panel are Democrats, with the exception of Representative Liz Cheney, a Wyoming Republican.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., named five GOP members earlier this week but pulled them all out after Pelosi rejected Ohio’s Jim Jordan and Jim Jordan of Ohio. Banks of Indiana, two members oppose the presidential electors for Joe Biden on January 6.

McCarthy said her rejection of those two lawmakers shows her committee is partisan as Jordan and Banks will inevitably raise nasty questions regarding the allegations since the breach including who was shot unarmed pro-Trump protester, Ashli ​​Babbitt, and whether any FBI informants were involved in the plot.

“We’ve heard that over and over,” he added.

“It turned out, however, that Nancy Pelosi didn’t intend to reveal everything she knew about January 6, so she turned that committee into another instrument of cover-up,” he continued, noting that she turned down Jordan and Banks.

“Today, Pelosi banned two Republicans from serving on the Committee. They are Jim Jordan of Ohio and Jim Banks of Indiana,” he added.

“What did they do wrong? Those two people seemed especially likely to ask questions about January 6 that Pelosi didn’t want to discuss. They promote openness, so she kicked them off.”

He went on to play a clip of Pelosi snapping a reporter asking her why she removed two GOP lawmakers. “Read my statement,” she clapped her hands in response.

Carlson later played a clip of Rep. Abigail Spanberger, D-Va., who said that anyone serving on the 1/6 Committee must have a duty and loyalty to the country first and be a loyalist”.

“So if you want to know why officials reporting directly to Nancy Pelosi kept denying security at the Capitol on January 6 even when protesters were inside the Capitol doors, if you want to know what the hell it is, you’re answering,’ Carlson replied.

“You are a traitor. You hate the country,” he added.

“It turns out that there are still a lot of terrible things we don’t know about January 6 despite all the talk about it. For example, why is the Department of Justice still hiding thousands of hours of surveillance footage from the Capitol that day tonight? What could be on that tape that we’re not allowed to see? ‘ Carlson asked.

“Who killed Ashli ​​Babbitt? And what is the justification for killing her? ‘ he further noted.

“Government workers can shoot unarmed political protesters in the neck for trespassing and we are not allowed to know who did it or why? Is that really the new standard? “

Carlson then accused Pelosi of forming a committee to release findings that support a preconceived narrative to conceal the truth.

“January 6 is being used as an excuse to strip away the core constitutional rights of millions of disaffected Americans. We are witnessing the strongest suppression of civil liberties in our lifetime. It’s not an exaggeration,” he said.

“But thanks to Nancy Pelosi, the Jan. 6 Committee will run the way she wants America to run, as a one-party state,” he said.
