Tucker Carlson questions Vaccines after co-workers encourage

Fox News presenter Tucker Carlson opened his show on Monday again raising questions about a Covid-19 vaccine, after some of his colleagues encouraged viewers to get vaccinated earlier in the day.

Carlson started by talking about Texas Democrats who contracted Covid after their maskless flight and aired a clip of a UK official saying that 60% of hospitalizations from Covid in the UK were among those vaccinated. That UK official, sir Patrick Vallance, had to correct himself: 60% of hospital admissions in the UK were among unvaccinated.

Vallance also said in its press conference that vaccines are very effective, but they are not 100%.

“They have told us anyone who is fully vaccinated is fine,” says Carlson. “The only people who got a serious illness or died from Covid and who refused to get vaccinated.”

Carlson next showed CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky warned recently that “this is becoming a pandemic of the unvaccinated”:

We are seeing outbreaks of cases in parts of the country that have low vaccination coverage because unvaccinated people are at risk. In fully vaccinated communities it usually works well… The good news is that if you are fully immunized, you will be protected from serious hospitalizations and death, and even protected against diseases. known variants, including the Delta variant, circulate in this country. If you are not vaccinated, you are still at risk. And our biggest concern is that we will continue to see preventable cases, hospitalizations and, sadly, deaths among unvaccinated people.

After making those remarks, Carlson said, “We’re not saying vaccines don’t have benefits, there can be profound benefits to vaccines. Our minds were wide open and were there from day one. We never encourage anyone to take or not take a vaccine.”

He added, “But we know how to lie when we see it and you just saw it. Again… this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated simply not true. It’s a lie. There’s a big difference between that political view – what it is exactly… and the data in a bunch of different countries showing.”

At one point, Carlson comment from former Fox News reporter Carl Cameron calls his vaccines “propaganda”, and laughs at him.

“There are a lot of people giving you medical advice on TV, and you should ignore them,” says Carlson. “The advice they give you is not to help, it is designed to make you comply. And you should not mindlessly comply. You are a grown American. You are allowed to ask simple questions and then ask for clear answers. “

On Fox News earlier in the day, Steve Doocy urge viewers to vaccinate, emphasizing that “99% of people die unvaccinated.” He tells viewers they should take a shot and adds, “Take a shot, it will save your life.”

A few hours later, John Roberts and Fox News medical analyst Dr. Marc Siegel talked the importance of getting more people vaccinated. Roberts referred viewers to vaccine.gov for more information.
