Since former President Donald Trump left office, there have been many rumors and speculations regarding whether or possibly when, he will announce his re-election bid for president in 2024.
Yesterday, Trump issued a Thanksgiving statement that many interpret as possibly alluding to his re-election plans.
“America will never fail, and we will never allow it to go wrong. Too many great generations are counting on us. Enjoy your Thanksgiving knowing that a great future lies ahead! ” said the statement.

Trump has commented earlier that he is considering running for re-election.
“I’m definitely thinking about it and we’ll see. I think a lot of people will be very, very happy with this decision, and will probably announce it after the midterms,” Trump said.
Trump did not promise to run for office, as he clarified to Fox News.

“It doesn’t mean I would… It might be appropriate, but a lot of people are waiting for that decision to be made,” he said.
Trump also added that “a lot of great people who are thinking about running are waiting for that decision, because they wouldn’t run if I ran.”
Still, some former Trump staffers are pretty sure he will run for re-election.
Mark Meadows, who served as chief of staff under Trump, told SiriusXM in October that he was ready to bet that Trump would run for president again, as Insiders reported.
“If I were a bettor, man… I would tell you to lend me all your money. I’m going to put all my money in, and I bet he’ll come back,” Meadows said.
Meadows says he concluded this after talking to Trump “several times” a week.
“He’s engaged, and we’re going to count on him to run,” he said.
If Trump decides to run for re-election, polls have shown his support among Republicans remains strong.
Quinnipiac University put out a poll on October 19, showing that 78% of Republicans want to see Trump run for re-election in 2024.
According to the poll, the majority of Americans do not want to see Trump run for re-election, but Republicans largely support it.
“Democrats say 94 – 4% and independents say 58 – 35% that they don’t want to see Trump running. However, Republicans say 78 – 16% that they would like to see Trump run for president in 2024, compared with 66 – 30% in May,” the poll concluded.
Meanwhile, President Joe Biden also said he plans to run for re-election in 2024, CNN reported earlier this week.
But Biden’s approval numbers are low.
Follow other people Quinnipiac University Opinion poll, Biden only got 36 percent approval.
“Americans give President Biden a negative rating of 36-53% approving the job, while 10% have no opinion,” the poll reported.
So in the light of disapprove of Biden, many Americans are waiting to see how the race in 2024 will begin.
CNN reported: “And Democrats were defeated in the November election, adding to concerns about Democrats’ chances in the 2022 midterm elections and Biden’s vision. about the future for the party”.
