Trucker Rally Much hyped ‘Freedom Phase’ in DC Turns Out To Be A Complete Joke

WASHINGTON, DC— Only a handful of protesters inspired by anti-vaccination proxy convoys in Canada turned up in the nation’s capital Tuesday afternoon for “The Freedom PeriodNear Events Washington Monument.

Despite the huge initial estimate that as many as 3,000 people would attend, only 12 protesters actually assembled for the gathering just hours before President Joe Biden’s day. State of the Union address Tuesday evening.

Right-wing rally organizer, MMA fighter and Maryland football hopeful Kyle Sefcikopened the rally — where the press and police outnumbered the protesters — by rereading the Pledge of Allegiance before beginning a lengthy speech that mixed shameless self-promotion with slurs. Complaints are aimed at truckers who don’t show up.

“I wanted to see first-hand what people were really talking about,” says Sefcik. “As you can see, with millions of hits and hundreds of thousands of people behind this movement, still no one has come out and joined it!”

The rambling speech, sometimes with oddly specific lines of contact, prompts Sefcik to wonder where the convoy of trucks — supposedly intended to disrupt the Beltway area in protest of vaccine missions please, among other causes of MAGA — it really is.

“Where is the truck?! Where is the truck?! ” Sefcik shouted at one point. “I know the people I was planning to go to… they weren’t even allowed in because they needed a commercial permit and had proof of checking today because of the checkpoints, so they couldn’t even get in. take the stage and make it look cool.”

“But I still show up, even if none of you do,” he continued. “I’m still right here because I keep my word.”

Near the end of his speech in front of a row of television cameras, Sefcik admitted he had “lost money” in the day’s activities.

The “Liberal Phase” failed after right-wing media stars spent days hyping and praising the protest.

“Listen, this is how it’s done,” said Fox News host Dan Bongino speak last week. “They’re making it clear from the start what their goal is, they make everything transparent, so there’s no guesswork… This, ladies and gentlemen, is how it’s done!”

Other oddities at the sparsely attended event included speakers known only by their first names, including “Pastor Clark” and “Pastor Sermon,” and cryptic speeches filled with interrogational metaphors. tons about the ox, the fence and about the need to understand God.

When speaking to The Daily Beast when a small group of guitarists replaced him on stage, Sefick acknowledged his poor performance.

“Dude, there are at least eleven [people], friend. Come on, man,” Sefcik joked about the rally, which took place hours before the planned 8 p.m. end, before claiming it was in fact not about the turnout.

“Just because of the amount of people not showing up,” he said. “It’s not about that, we’re going to stick to what we’re doing.”
