According to Trans Mountain Corp. Dawn Farrell will be its new President and CEO next week.
The pipeline operator says Farrell has more than 35 years of experience in the energy business, where she has held senior positions.
She most recently served as President and CEO of TransAlta Corp. and helped the company transition from coal-fired power generation.
Farrell’s appointment comes after Ian Anderson announced in February that he would be leaving his position in April.

Farrell is hired to lead the company overseeing a pipeline expansion that she described as “one of Canada’s most important infrastructure projects.”
According to Farrell, the Trans Mountain expansion project has passed 60 percent and she looks forward to leading the organization to completion while guiding the next phase of the company’s future.
