TORONTO — Members of Toronto’s homeless community and their advocates say they need a greater winter plan from the town.

The Shelter Housing Justice Community, which represents members of the homeless neighborhood and those that work with them, has issued a report with a number of suggestions for the town to implement.

It says leases on motels used for the homeless in the course of the pandemic ought to be prolonged via the winter.

The group would additionally like the town’s no-camping bylaw repealed to permit those that are homeless to sleep in Toronto parks.
