Toronto Defiant adds flex DPS ALTHOUGH for 2022
Toronto Defiant is continuing to bolster its revamped roster with familiar faces heading into 2022 Overwatch Season.
Flex DPS Jung “ALTHOUGH” Hyun-wook, who previously played for the London Spitfire, will join the Defiant lineup next year, team announced today.
ALTHOUGH was a relatively unknown player when he joined Spitfire’s the team is mostly rookies before 2020 Overwatch Season. While the players showed promise, a mid-season move to the East Region due to COVID-19 has derailed many of their plans.
London removed its entire roster after the 2020 season and ALTHOUGH moved in Overwatch Contenders Korea, plays for O2 Blast. He has been a part of the team ever since, aside from a short-term loan to Team BM.
Flexible DPS will join Jeong “Heesu” Hee-su, the sole Defiant holder from the 2021 season, and rookie Lim “Finale” Jung-woo in the damage lineup.
After eliminating most of its players at the start of the season, Toronto assembled talented rookies with league titles to create its roster. Talon Esports highlights Seong “CH0R0NG” Yoo-min, one of the offseason’s most hyped player, will team up with former San Francisco Shock flex support Lee “Twilight” Ju-seok on the support line.
Los Angeles Gladiators mainstay veteran Kim “MuZe” Young-hun and Philadelphia Fusion off-tank veteran Choi “HOTBA” Hong-joon made the 2022 Defiant shortlist.
