The opening season of VALUABLE The Champions Tour gave fans a great opportunity to watch the best teams from their region compete before going up against top teams around the world. Acend

Acend secured the opening ceremony VALUABLE Champion title and cement their place as the best team in the world. They went undefeated throughout the tournament, beating Vivo Keyd, Envy, Team Secret, Team Liquid, and Gambit Esports along the way.

The team found success in the early days of VALUABLE by winning the European Masters championship, even though they did not qualify for the Masters Reykjavík. They made it to the Masters Berlin, although 100 Thieves knocked them out in the quarterfinals. Most fans never question the potential of the team, although many expect another EU team to progress in the Champions League. But Acend shows they can take the best from any region and will likely be a notable force in the 2022 season.

Sentinels

The Sentinels have been one of the most dominant teams throughout 2021. They’ve secured the top spot in North America, winning their first Masters with an undefeated record. They made an amazing international debut at Masters Reykjavík, becoming the first team to win an international title. VALUABLE position.

They’ve maintained their momentum in VCT Stage 3 by winning the NA Challengers Knockout Qualifier and it looks like they’re on their way to a third title at the Masters Berlin. But they could not make it past the 3rd round and bow in the quarterfinals. Champion is an even tougher experience; Sentinels could not make it past the group stage.

Despite the disappointing ending, the Sentinels are still one of the best VALUABLE team of the year 2021.

Gambit

Gambit Esports is arguably the best European team that will make it to the Champions League. They won the Masters Berlin, beating Envy in the final with a score of 3-0. Their success against the Champions led many to believe they would go home with another title, but they ended up losing to Acend in the final.

Despite 2nd place overall, Gambit was still one of the best teams of the year. They are a shining example of European domination in VALUABLE and only one step behind Acend.

KRU Esports

KRU Esports is one of the best South American teams throughout 2021 and has appeared in all three Masters. They failed to win their regional Masters event and were sent home from Masters Reykjavík with just one win over Shark Esports. They did better at the Masters Berlin and made it to the knockout stages, but G2 Esports knocked them out.

The third time is a chance for KRU on the international stage. They had one of the most impressive games in the Champions League, sending FURIA, Sentinels and Fnatic home before being eliminated in the quarterfinals by Gambit Esports.

This year has been a long battle for KRU Esports, and they have successfully planted their flag among the best teams in the world.

Cloud9 Blue

Cloud9 Blue has had a rough start to 2021. Duelist star Tyson “TenZ” Ngo left the team to focus on content creation before joining the Sentinels and becoming one of the biggest names in the industry. VALUABLE. But C9 Blue became one of the best North American teams in the final part of the season and one of only three North American teams to reach the Finals.

Cloud9 picked up the disappearance of the former Version1 player prior to the North American Last Chance Qualifier and proceeded to clean the house. They beat Rise, 100 Thieves, XSET, Gen.G and Version1 for a spot in the Champion. They were also the only North American team to survive the group stage in the Champions League, although Team Liquid quickly eliminated them. Hopefully for fans, we’ll see another impressive year from Cloud9 Blue next season.

X10

X10 is an Asia-Pacific team that has dominated the region alongside Team Secret. X10 won the SEA Masters and made their international debut at Masters Reykjavík. They defeat Crazy Raccoon but are sent home by Fnatic.

The group returned to an international event at VALUABLE Win and qualify for the knockout round, beating Vivo Keyd and Envy along the way. They were eventually defeated by Gambit, but they still won the map against the EU dominating team.

X10 was one of the best teams in the region throughout the year and performed relatively well in international events. Do not ignore this team that will enter the 2022 season.

Vision striker

Vision Strikers is, without a doubt, the best Korean VALUABLE team. They are famous for their 104-match winning streak and won the first Masters championship in Korea. They failed to make it to Masters Reykjavík, but made it to the quarterfinals at Masters Berlin.

The team failed to make it to the group stage in VALUABLE Champs and only beat FULL SENSE in their opening match. Obviously the Vision Strikers are struggling internationally, but they are still Korea’s dominant team and are likely to do well next year.

Crazy panda

Crazy Raccoon is the best Japanese team of 2021, although they have not been able to make a name for themselves in the international arena. They left Masters Reykjavik without winning a single match and only won a series against Havan Liberty at the Masters Berlin.

The champion is tough for the team. They were defeated by Team Vikings and Team Secret, going home for the season without winning a single map in the biggest event of the year.

Secret Team

Team Secret is a sleeping giant in the Champions League for the first time. They were considered one of the weakest teams in Group C, but they took out Crazy Raccoon and Team Vikings to secure their spot in the knockouts. VCT Champs Acend eliminated them in the quarterfinals, but they still performed significantly better than expected.

Team Vikings

Team Viking is one of the best Brazilian teams to have won the regional Masters event. They qualified for Masters Reykjavík, where they beat X10 before losing to Sentinels and Team Liquid. They also started Champions with a win over Crazy Raccoon but were sent home by Gambit Esports and Team Secret.

The Brazilian team played against Gambit, one of the top teams in the tournament, showing they have the best hold. If Team Viking can continue to improve against their international rivals, they will rise from one of the best teams in their region to one of the best in the world.
