Top US commander in Afghanistan relinquishes post

Gen. Scott Miller has served as America’s high commander in Afghanistan since 2018. He handed over command of what has develop into often known as America’s “without end conflict” in its waning days to Marine Gen. Frank McKenzie, the top of U.S. Central Command. McKenzie will function from Central Command headquarters in Tampa, Florida.
