Top 5 best new characters to appear in The Witcher Season 2

Netflix’s The Witcher Season 2 is back on Friday, December 17, and with its triumphant return, the fantasy series has seen a host of brand new characters.

It’s a good time to be a Witcher fan right now. Not only do we have The Witcher: Blood Origin to look forward to next year but Netflix only aired season 2 of The Witcher and take it away from me if you haven’t seen it, it’s a hell of a ride!

Part one of The Witcher is filled mainly with the story of the fate of Geralt (Henry Cavill), Ciri (Freya Allan) and Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) and the fate of the Continent due to which it is based on the book. Sword of Destiny, but as Season 2 unfolds, so do its diverse characters.

I think something is wrong with me. Everywhere I go, people die. Sometimes, I feel like I could set the world on fire. I did not mean to. It just makes me feel so scared. Anytime. – Hi.

1. Nivellen

An old friend of Geralt’s in the past, Nivellen is seen in The Witcher Season 2 as a cursed wild boar hiding in a manor. The story of Nivellen, who is played by Game of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju, appeared in the short story A Grain of Truth and a fan favorite, albeit dark and violent.

While Nivellen’s story may seem similar to Beauty and the Beast to viewers, his real story is far more sinister, involving the rape of a nun. The story really unfolded when it was discovered that Nivellen had been cultivating a super-powered vampire known as a Bruxa in his manor and all hell broke loose to create some action sequences. The best in the series.

2. Codringher and Fenn

A source of information for many who wander into their bookstore, Fenn and Condringher, played by Simon Callow and Liz Carr, make for a delightful addition to season 2 of the series. The Witcher. We first see the pair when Istredd, a witch, searches for information regarding the mystery surrounding Ciri in hopes of understanding and getting to the bottom of the truth.

Codringher serves as the face of the business, while Fenn is still buried in his research but together they make for some great on-screen chemistry that I hope to see more of in Season 2. 3.

3. Rience

Taken from the books when he was instructed to find Ciri after Cintra was slaughtered, Rience was a fiery addition to Season 2. Freed from Cintra’s dungeon and hired by the shaman Vilgefortz, Rience undertook the search. Finding the mighty princess and then capturing Jaskier with the famous ballad about the lions of Cintra caught his attention, especially since the song mentioned Ciri being cared for by Geralt.

As evil and stealthy as a mage, he certainly brings some fire and tension to the season in more ways than one. Though he certainly deserves a taste of his own potion in front of a fiery face from the equally energetic Yennefer!

2. Voleth Meir

Voleth Meir also known as “The Immortal Mother” was featured in the Netflix show. Based on Slavic mythology, Voleth Meir is a demon that eats away at the pain of others and this is where she derives her most prized powers.

As Yennefer, Fringilla, and Francesca found out, Baba Yaga means “Immortal Mother” in the Elder Speech. The powerful demon was initially trapped on the Continent after the Conjunction of the Spheres where she caused hell until the witches first enveloped her in an enchanted hut beneath the ruins of the Elven.

Entering the dreams of Yennefer, Fringilla and Francesca, Voleth promises to give women what they most desire, but naturally, it is for her own benefit and she uses them only as a way to escape his captivity.

Although this character does not appear in the game or the book, this is one of my favorite stories to witness. The Witcher Season 2 and added to the amazing all-round lore experience.

first. Philippa Eilhart

One of my favorite characters from books and games, besides Yennefer, Philippa Eilhart’s appearance in Netflix The Witcher probably one of those things that many non-witcher fans don’t see coming.

The mighty sorceress is one of the few people who can be polymorphic and as we have seen, she can transform herself into an owl. Although Dijkstra was Vizmir’s messenger and head of the Redanian Intelligence Service, Philippa actually became the ultimate mastermind witch due to her ways of espionage and manipulation.

Despite her youthful appearance, Philippa Eilhart is at least 300 years old and has become an iconic LGBT figure due to her ‘losing feelings for men a while ago’. I would love to see more of these complex and intriguing characters but I hope in Season 3 of The Witcher, she will play a much larger role so we can really see the range of her abilities.
