Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Cross-Play confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, etc

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will have full crossplay at launch later this month (March 25). The Borderlands spinoff will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X & S, and PC. a tweet by Randy Pitchford, co-founder of Gearbox Software, he confirmed the cross-play included the PlayStation and thanked the engineers at Gearbox for making it a reality.

Randy Pitchford posted the following on Twitter to confirm the cross-play for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands:

“Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will ship on March 25 with full cross-play for all platforms at launch, including PlayStation. The incredible work of the engineers at Gearbox Software along with thanks go to our partners at 2k Games and first parties, including Sony, for working together on this issue. “

In recent times, crossplay has become increasingly popular in multiplayer titles. Fortnite was the first to take it completely mainstream. However, Sony was initially against the feature. Recently, the console maker changed its tune – we now see full cross-play in popular series like Call of Duty and Battlefield.

The announcement of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands crossplay comes after the game was announced last June at Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Festival. It is the successor to Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, developed by Gearbox Software, and published by 2K Games. The game retails for the full price of $60. In a statement released at notificationPitchford says:

“Wonderlands is the culmination of over a decade of continuous development at Gearbox Software towards an RPG Shooter set in a fantasy universe. For me, carrying around realistic Borderlands guns to battle dragons, skeletons, goblins and more in a fantasy world originally imagined by the deadliest thirteen-year-old in the galaxy, Tiny Tina, as a new, full-featured AAA arcade game is a dream come true. ”
