This New Anime Is More Liked Than ‘Cowboy Bebop’

The first 12 episodes of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean debuted yesterday and the new season has topped all the charts. David Productions’ fifth season of anime adaptation of Hirohiko Araki’s epic shōnen manga series will take place Rocky ocean arc, travel to the Florida of the 21st century and seemingly to the top of MyAnimeList.

Rocky ocean ranked at number 19 on MyAnimeList’s The best animated series rankings, ratings of series, seasons and movies based on user reviews. That puts it first Owarimonogatari Season 2 in position #20 and above Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 at position #18.

For context, Rocky ocean are appreciating classics like Cowboy Bebop (anime in 1998), ranked 35th, while Dragon Ball Z ranked 364th and My Hero Academia ranked #582. It even took the lead in megahits by Makoto Shinkai Your name (#22) and Miyazaki’s lover Soul land (# thirty first).

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood has comfortably held the number one spot on the list for a while.

There are other indicators by which we can see the popularity and success of Rocky ocean also. MyAnimeList has a separate list for Broadcast Anime, has been dominated by Ranking of Kings all seasons. Rocky ocean quickly peel off the series and lead the likes Mushoku Tensei: Unemployment Reincarnation (#3) and even One mouthful (#4).

According to Netflix, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is the sixth most popular show on the streaming service in the United States today and FlixPatrol report that JoJo’s is the second leading program in service worldwide today. And, to round things up, this series tends to lead Twitter yesterday when fans gathered to watch the new season.
