Riot released periodically League of LegendsPatches include a multitude of bug fixes, improvements, and new content for the game.
Patches, typically scheduled for release every two weeks, cater for both competitive and solo queue play, targeting champions, items, runes, and summoning spells.
They also regularly include new skins, along with new champions less often. In 2021 over 140 skins and several champions (Viego, Gwen, Akshan and Vex) have advanced League. Many more are expected to come to the game in 2022.
