Episode 23 of 86 Eighty-six is now available to watch on Crunchyroll, and after watching the season finale, fans wondered if A-1 Pictures would confirm Season 3 of the popular animated series. Well, here’s everything we know about the show’s innovation.
Written by Asato Asato, 86 Eighty-six is a popular Japanese novel series also adapted from the manga by Motoki Yoshihara. A-1 Pictures selected the anime adaptation of the manga and premiered in April 2021. The producer divided the first season of the anime into two waves. The first season runs from April 2021 to June 2021, and the anime returns for a second season in October 2021, which runs until March 2022.
For some reason, the entire anime community considers both 86 Eighty-six animated series as individual seasons. Even Crunchyroll released the trailer for the second trial under the “Season 2” position. And now that season 2 has ended, the community is looking forward to season 3 of the series.

Chapter 86: Eighty-six season 3 is still unconfirmed
As of this writing, A-1 Pictures has yet to officially confirm Season 3 of 86 Eighty-Six. However, the season 2 finale just ended, so it’s best to wait a little longer to hear something about the show’s renewal.
There’s no arguing about that 86 Eighty-six is an incredible anime series that attracts millions of fans. Obviously, the anime, especially season 2, has experienced some delays that have disappointed the community. But it’s hard to deny that A-1 Pictures did a great job directing and animating. Currently, the anime is standing at a rating of 8.20 out of My Anime List after 200K+ ratings.
On top of that, there’s enough content from the novel series for an anime adaptation. So far, 11 episodes of eighty six The light novel has been released and the anime has only adapted three episodes (Via: The Anime Daily). So given the availability of the source material and the popularity of the anime, it would be crazy for A-1 Pictures to drop the anime series.
However, it is still too early to get your hopes up; we’ll probably hear something about the show’s renewal in the coming months.
