President Trump, a self-declared “counterattacker,” has never been a puncher and it doesn’t look like he’s going to start now. In a recent presidential statement, released by his Save America PAC, Trump criticized Viden for his disastrous November jobs report.
“The US lost 340,000 jobs compared to very modest expectations of economists, “It reads,”That’s Because Joe Biden Is A Pony Or Donkey, ‘Vaccinated’. ‘”
Trump then dropped out of the 2020 election and Biden’s disastrous policy decisions, at one point saying “This administration is destroying America right in front of our eyes for no leadership. Read the full statement here:
President Donald J. Trump:

The number 340,000 that Trump mentioned comes from Bureau of Labor Statistics reports employment for November, showing that instead of adding 550,000 jobs as expected in November, the US economy only added 210,000 jobs. Here is the exact language from the report:
Total nonfarm payroll employment rose 210,000 in November and the unemployment rate fell 0.4 percentage points to 4.2 percent, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Notable job gains occurred in professional and business services, transportation and warehousing, construction and manufacturing. Employment in the retail trade fell for the month.
The unemployment rate decreased by 0.4% corresponding to a decrease of 542,000 unemployed people. However, the unemployment rate is still higher than pre-Covid levels.
Putting the 210,000 job increase in context, the report has this to say:
So far this year, monthly job growth has averaged 555,000. Nonfarm employment has increased by 18.5 million since April 2020 but is down by 3.9 million, or 2.6%, from pre-pandemic levels in February 2020. In November, the increase in employment Notable work has occurred in professional and business services, transportation and warehousing, construction, and manufacturing. Employment in the retail trade fell for the month.
So, although some jobs have been added to the economy, the number has fallen far below economists’ expectations and the monthly average this year. That’s even worse news for the Biden Administration.
