Things to know about abortion in Mississippi and how it differs from Texas ban

Mississippi is feeling pretty optimistic. State officials are asking the courts to not only respect their laws, but to knock them down Roe v. Wade total. That plus other legal rulings defending abortion, Mississippi wrote in a brief for the court, represent “undisciplined decisions that have damaged the democratic process, poisoned discourse our nation, obstructing the rule of law – and in doing so, harmed this Court.”
