These Chris Pratt Casting Memo Photos Are Unstoppable

If you were on Twitter on Saturday, December 4th, you may have heard that Chris Pratt has amassed another stone to add to the Infinity Gauntlet for his voice acting roles. But I’m happy to report that rumor that Chris Pratt will voice Grinch in a new movie is completely bogus. Anyway, not yet.

The rumor started on Friday, December 3, when Wyatt Duncan (@WyattDuncan) tweeted out an image of what appeared to be a screenshot of a Hollywood Reporter article titled “Chris Pratt voices Grinch in new animated special for ABC.” Turns out the article never existed, but that didn’t stop the tweet from going viral.

To protect everyone who fell in love with it, the story makes perfect sense, especially given that Pratt has recently chosen to voice Garfield and Mario in two upcoming movies. In fact, I bet that’s the only reason why he do not have was asked to voice Grinch in a new animated special because Benedict Cumberbatch did it in 2018.

After the tweet was taken down, people started hopping on the meme train, posting fake announcements to add to Pratt’s voice acting career. Based on memes, Chris Pratt has taken on every possible role, including Miles Morales in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, “every Beatles,” RuPaul and even”new voice of CVS self-test the machine says ‘put your item in the bagging area’” (my personal favorite).

And that’s not all. Once he’s done snagging every movie and TV role imaginable, the Chris Pratt meme seems about to be on the verge of pop stardom too. “Chris Pratt will sing every song on billie’s new album,” said Finneas, brother and collaborator of Billie Eilish, tweeted on Sunday.
