The Witch Queen trailer focuses on weapons and crafting

Latest trailer for Fate 2the upcoming expansion of, Witch Queen, showing off some interesting stuff. The trailer focuses on some of the new weapons coming to the game, and provides a look at the weapon crafting system, which ultimately gives players greater control over their arsenal.

Weapon crafting is a feature that has been expected by Fate 2 players since the announcement. For a long time now, the longevity and effectiveness of a player’s equipment depended on the rapidly changing meta and frequent equipment shutdowns. However, with the arrival of weapon crafting, players will be able to have more control over their load.

At the moment, there aren’t too many details about weapon making beyond what we already know. However, the trailer did introduce some new side stories coming to the expansion. The first weapon introduced in the trailer is called Grand Overture. This impressive weapon is a fully automatic slug launcher that looks like it does some serious damage. Osteo Striga was also introduced, and it’s a submachine gun with a pretty unique buff. It seems to have the same passive damage effect as Thorn, but we’ll have to wait for the expansion to release to see what else it can do.

More footage has been shown of the newly added weapon Fate 2: Sorceress Queen also. Glaive has unique abilities for each class, Titans can fire shields to protect allies, Warlocks can deploy healing towers, and Hunters can emit a bolt of lightning that tracks enemies. Glaives is looking to be a really cool addition to the game. It’s great that they have assistive abilities that can make them even more useful to Fireteams.

And finally, the trailer introduced some new Exotic armor. Hoarfrost-Z Chest for Titans replaces the Stasis wall with a barrier of Stasis crystals. Osmiomancy Gloves gives Warlocks an extra charge of Coldsnap with enhanced search capabilities. Finally, Hunters will receive a Blight Ranger Helmet that buffs the Arc Staff’s shield to reflect projectiles. Judging by the trailer, that new Hunter Exotic also seems to be particularly effective against enemies.

Fate 2: Sorceress Queen will be released on February 22nd, so make sure you’re ready to take down Savathun by then. Also make sure you stay up to date with all the news around Sony and Bungie too.
