On stage, The Weeknd apologized for the show’s cancellation and promised audiences a refund.
“I’ll make sure everyone is okay, you get your money back,” he told the crowd. “But I’ll be doing a show for you guys very soon.”
The singer added, “I can’t give you what I want to give you.”

The Weeknd took to social media to explain that he is devastated after his “voice died out” during the first song.
“I felt it go and my heart sank,” he wrote. “My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise I’ll make it up to you with a new date.”
The next scheduled tour date for the “After Hours Til Dawn” tour is September 22nd in Toronto.
