‘The View’ producers struggle to find a Republican host after Meghan McCain’s departure

It’s been four months since Meghan McCain’s start are from See, and there is no sign of a permanent replacement yet. Since August, it has been a revolving door for many republican and conservative homeowners. It is known that the longtime co-hosts, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin not too happy with the inconsistency and rotation of republican hosts. At the end of August, executive producer Brian Teta indicates the program will take “some time” to replace Meghan McCain swear to continue “The mission of dynamic conversations with diverse perspectives.”

According to reports, the problem was finding a Republican/Conservative member who met all the requirements. Executive producers will not consider a Republican as someone who denies the 2020 election results, accepts the January 6 riots, or is seen as an interesting conspiracy theory or pro-MAGA. At the same time, executives want the potential co-host to maintain credibility with mainstream Republicans, even those who still support Donald Trump.

Despite reports of a struggle to find an accepted Republican co-host, executives insist the program is working well.

Spokesperson for See speak,

“Our plans are on track as we continue to find the right person to join our group of dynamic, intelligent women. We look forward to welcoming guest co-hosts who will reappear and introduce new names into the mix in the new year. ”

Since Meghan’s departure in August, ABC tried many conservative ways, including SE Cupp, Alyssa Farah, Morgan Ortagus, Condoleezza Rice, Carly Fiorina, and Gretchen Carlson.
