The ultimate fan challenges to make Pokemon have brighter diamonds and brighter pearls

Pokemon Challenges are a great way to inject some excitement into the core concept that has become so familiar over the past 25 years. Players can apply some rules and restrictions to their play to prove to everyone that they really are the best they’ve ever been. With the release Pokemon Brilliant diamond and Shining pearls, some players may be looking for a slightly fresher approach to these Generation 4 classics.

THAN: Pokémon: Every generation from easiest to hardest, ranked

The most popular Pokemon challenge out there is, without a doubt, Nuzlocke run. This restricts Trainers from catching the first Pokemon they find in an area. When that Pokemon faints, that Pokemon is considered ‘dead’ and must be released. This is a heart-pounding challenge that adds some extra stakes to a kid-friendly format. However, it is also one of the most outrageous Challenges available. Here are some Pokemon Challenges for these brand new games that players might not have considered trying before.

Mono Pokemon running is a great way to force challengers try new Pokemon and moves they may not have thought of using it before. On the other hand, players can choose their favorite Pokemon and have a great time showering it with love and affection.

That’s right – challengers must try to beat Elite 4 without ever using another Pokemon. Most Mono Pokemon runs include a warning that other Pokemon can be used for HM as the game will not be completed without a glitch if the player is unable to use Cut or Surf. However, in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls, wild Pokemon can use HM moves if the player has the associated badge, which means can run real Mono Pokemon.

THAN: The strongest Pokémon from each generation

This challenge requires a lot of strategy, as each Pokemon has different strengths and weaknesses. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have Fairies moves, putting Dragon-type Pokemon at a disadvantage in Mono Pokemon runs that didn’t exist in the original Generation 4 games.

In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls, players can finally give HM slaves the respect they deserve by completing the challenge with just one Bidoof.

A suitable challenge for a Pokemon game called Brilliant diamond and Shining pearls, this challenge is exactly what it sounds like. The player must fill in the Pokedex Sinnoh (and in some difficult cases, the Country) with shiny form of every Pokemon available.

In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls, has a 1 in4096 chance of finding a wild shiny Pokemon. While this is still extremely rare, players are almost twice as likely to encounter Shinies in the remake than in the original. Diamond and Pearl the game has an occurrence rate Shiny 1/8192. And yes, this means having to reset the game every time a Regular Starter is selected until it’s shiny.

However, there is a way to maximize the spawn rate Shiny is 1/99 in these new games. The original Generation 4 games introduced a method called ‘sequencing’, a method that was welcomed back in the remakes. Players who want to take on this grand challenge will first need to defeat Elite 4 and complete the Sinnoh Pokedex. Professor Rowan will provide players with a PokeRadar, allowing them to locate specific Pokemon in the wild.

Go to Ramanas Park and talk to Professor Oak who will install the String Counter app on Poketch. This will help Trainers to catch the same Pokemon multiple times in a row. Pokeradar will show the Trainer where the Pokemon is hiding. The player can then choose a specific Pokemon to chain. As the chain increases, so does the chance of encountering a wild shiny Pokemon. When a player hits 40 on their Sequence Counter, the odds drop to 1/99. Have fun hunting!

The ‘Trading Only’ Pokemon Challenge run limits the vast number of Pokemon a Trainer can build a team from. They will only be able to use Pokemon available through trades. And before anyone thinks of any loopholes, this Challenge run limits players to in-game trading only, so there won’t be any teammates trading you for a powerful Legend.

THAN: Every Pokémon Evolves by Trade, Rank

In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls, This challenge has an extra layer of complexity when it comes to Mindy. This ruthless NPC in Snowpoint City will foil any plans that challengers have to adopt Gengar. She will offer to trade a Medicham for this powerful Ghost, which would be a great addition to a team. However, her Haunter is holding an Everstone, which prevents it from evolving. This cruel trick led over 16,000 Redditors to join forces and create a Subreddit dedicated to spreading Mindy’s crimes against humanity.

Ash, Pikachu and Aipom travel to Sinnoh

This challenge is inspired by the characters of Pokemon Cartoon and games. Players can choose their favorite TV, movie or game character, or take a chance and use a random generator. The important thing is that they then build their team based on what their chosen character uses

Keeping in the spirit of Generation 4, challengers can draw inspiration from the Sinnoh League TV anime. For example, if a player wants to play as Ash Ketchum, they can build a team of Pikachu, Staraptor, Torterra, Buizel, Infernape, and Gible. And yes, that doesn’t mean there isn’t Garchomp.

If the player chooses to take the random path, they can become the first Trainer they encounter in the game – Youngster Tristan and his only level 5 Starly.
