The sorceress raises Destiny 2’s Strength tier to 1350, soft limit to 1500

Fate 2Upcoming Witch Queen The expansion will give fans a familiar buff when it launches on February 22. In a blog post today, Bungie detailed a bunch of changes that come with it. Witch Queen, which includes Strength thresholds throughout the expansion’s first season.
The Power Level will increase to 1350, which means all existing items will drop to at least 1350 Power Level — even if you’ve dragged them from the Collections tab. Any subsequent reduction will contribute to the soft cap, which will reach 1500 Power when Witch Queen lands.
After farming the base, the player will have to reach 1550 Strength to break the Strong limit, and the hard limit will be 1560.
Here are the updated thresholds for Witch Queen and how to reach them.
- Power floor (1350): Minimum basic value. Any drop until soft cap will upgrade the Player’s Strength. The drop can’t be lower than 1350 (unless Horror’s Least crashes again like in Season of the Lost).
- Soft cap (1500): The furthest players can go from normal activities alone without using Strong or Peak rewards to increase their stats.
- Powerful cap (1550): Reaching the Strong cap from the soft cap will require a Strong or Peak bonus, which is the only way to increase a player’s Strength Level during that period.
- Pinnacle Cap (1560): Players can only make their way through the elusive final 10 levels through Pinnacle rewards, which include certain raids, Osiris Test matches, playlist activities, the Hunt for the Empire and several other sources.
The release Witch Queen will also shake up the leveling possibilities. Presage and Harbinger, two Pinnacle Award activities, will dive into Life Content Warehouse 22, but Bungie teased “some tweaks to the Pinnacle and Powerful sources” when the new expansion landed.
