NS Rolling stone will be returning to the states this fall to make up for postponed dates in 2020. The 13-day tour begins September 26 at The Dome at America Center in St. Louis, Missouri and concludes November 20 at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
They are visiting most of the cities they were due to play in 2020, but shows in Vancouver, Louisville, Cleveland and Buffalo have been canceled due to scheduling difficulties. To make up for that, they’ve added stops in Los Angeles and Las Vegas and will also be playing Jazz Fest in New Orleans.
Tickets for the 2020 performances will be honored on these new dates. Fans with tickets to canceled shows will be contacted by Ticketmaster with information about refunds, and they will also receive possible “preferred offers” on tickets in nearby cities.
“I am delighted to be back on stage again,” Mick Jagger said in a statement, “and would like to thank everyone for their patience. See you soon!”
“We’re back on the road!” Keith Richards added. “See you again!”
The tour was originally scheduled to begin May 8, 2020 at SDCCU Stadium in San Diego, California and end July 9 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia after 15 the show. But the band was forced to postpone due to the pandemic.
“We are extremely disappointed to have to postpone the tour,” the band said at the time. “We apologize to all the fans who looked forward to it as much as we did, but everyone’s health and safety must come first. We’ll all get through this together – and we’ll see you guys soon.”
During the hiatus, the group released a new song “Living in a ghost town.” Much of it was written before the pandemic, but they changed some of the lyrics to reflect the new reality in the world. They haven’t released an album of new songs since 2005 A bigger explosion, but they’ve spent a lot of time in the studio in recent years.
Keith Richards said last year: “We have five or six more tracks and there’s a lot of feel about it for some reason that nobody was meant to do. “Obviously we have nothing else to do but write some more songs, right?”
