The petition for Mortal Kombat Trilogy Unreal Engine 5 Remake is exploding

In 1996, Midway published Mortal Kombat trio, is an updated version of Mortal Kombat 3 it’s featured content from the original Mortal Kombat as Mortal Kombat 2. Mortal Kombat trio gave fans of NetherRealm’s fighting game franchise the chance to play as characters from all three games released at the time, and made some new gameplay improvements that made it the one of the franchise’s more popular console releases. Considering this, it’s understandable that fans would like to see the game delivered on modern platforms.
No one related to Mortal Kombat franchise in official capacity has given any indication that Mortal Kombat trio A remake may be in the works, but fans are clamoring for it to happen. ONE petition posted to Change.org are asking for a Mortal Kombat trio remake using Unreal Engine 5. The petition created by a developer named Eyeballistic is said to have received the backing of Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon to produce Mortal Kombat Trilogy remade in 2016, just because the idea was rejected by Warner Bros. Interactive shot down because the publisher seemed unconvinced that the game would sell enough to cover the cost of making it.
Eyeballistic says that it is currently contracted to produce games for next-generation consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X as well as the Nintendo Switch, and that it has the technology that will make a Mortal Kombat trio redo a worthwhile experience. In the petition, Eyeballistic boasts of recovery technology that would allow for “extremely smooth play over long distances” and talked about plans to use Epic Online Services to enable crossplay.
If Eyeballistic had a chance to create a Mortal Kombat Trilogy remake, its goal is to recreate the game in 3D using Unreal Engine 5, with 4K resolution and 60fps gameplay, new music, online multiplayer support, and leaderboards. The plan will be to release the game for $39.99 on PC, PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X, with Eyeballistic intending to reach Warner Bros. Interactive with a crowdfunding plan if the petition reaches 100,000 signatures.
The petition has garnered 15,457 signatures at the time of this writing with new signatures being added every few minutes. The petition was originally started three months ago, but it’s only now that it’s noticed and attracted attention. However, it remains unclear whether it will achieve its goal of obtaining 100,000 signatures.
Rumor has it that a Mortal Kombat trio remaster was done with official capacity, but nothing came to fruition. During the measurement, Mortal Kombat Fans are patiently waiting to see what comes next from NetherRealm Studios, as the studio has yet to reveal its next project.
