The original bosses of Super Smash Bros. will be played more in Nintendo games

Super Smash Bros. officially ended support after launch after three years. Chain Creator Masahiro Sakurai says there are no plans for a Smash Bros. to follow, and now this makes a lot of sense. It would be hard for Nintendo to top a massive crossover with 89 playable fighters, as well as a huge roster of stages, music, and side activities; especially since the Switch may not be replaced soon.

That being said, it seems inevitable that Nintendo will be watching Super Smash Bros. with something, even if Sakurai wasn’t involved. The franchise has long been one of the best-selling and has been an easy hype generator thanks to the prospect of new fighter jets. Nintendo could shake things up with something like Traditional fighting game rather than other game Smash Bros., but even if it does move on the original characters and the bosses introduced during its 22 years won’t go away.

Bosses in Super Smash Bros.

The main call for Super Smash Bros. always its endless potential as a cross platform fighter going back to the simple days of Mario, Link, Samus Aran and Pikachu beating it on the Nintendo 64. Over time. Smash Bros. has grown from a celebration of Nintendo to an entire video game industry, with characters ranging from Sonic the Hedgehog to Cloud, and MinecraftSora’s Steve.

Character battles in casual and competitive games are always fun to watch, but there’s one thing that makes Smash Bros. Games with story campaigns featuring bosses from different titles also appear. In Quarrel and Ultimate, players can take on giant enemies from Nintendo and third-party developers; they include Rayquaza (Pokemon), Porky Minch (Mommy), Ridley (Metroid), Marx (Kirby), Vampire (Castlevania), and a Rathalos (Monster Hunter). However, fans will also recognize a lot of the original characters.

In 1999 Super Smash Bros., the player confronts the Master Hand at the end of game 1P. This simple gloved hand originally represented a child playing with their toy, in keeping with the aesthetic of Nintendo models coming to life. However, it became a major representative of the franchise along with Crazy Hand, which was featured in Melee combat on top of Smash– Exclusive Giga Bowser. Beat 4 (on Wii U and 3DS) introduced another variation on Master Hand with a malleable Master Core that can become everything from sentient swords to entire foundational fortresses.

QuarrelIts own subspace Emissary has a much deeper mythology, with Tabuu as its main antagonist, commanding various villains trying to entice Smash Bros. world into his child cosmic kingdom. Under his command are the aforementioned Nintendo enemies like Ridley, as well as unique characters Galleom and Duon. UltimateThe Light World of has less of an overarching story, but it focuses on the conflict villains Galeem and Dharkon leading the armies of the Master and the Crazy Hands, respectively.

Original content of Smash Bros. can see what new life is like

Ganondorf and Bowser in Super Smash Bros Brawl

Although the original characters are referenced in the future Super Smash Bros. game, with Galleom returning as the boss and Tabuu as a Spirit in UltimateTheir World of Light, most of them exist in their own bubble and do not return with any appreciable abilities. This is a shame as many fans have become attached to characters like Tabuu despite their small reputation. Although Nintendo encourages continued innovation so that each Smash The game has its own personality, a precedent that has been set for original characters from the franchise to appear elsewhere.

Kirby and the Amazing Mirror for Game Boy Advance has Master Hand and Crazy Hand as a boss guarding the mirror shard at the end of Candy Constellation. However, Master Hand also appears as a mini-boss in the game, with Kirby being able to gain the mimicry “Smash” skill. Super Smash Bros. set moves if he sucks the almighty gauntlet. Okay Kirby is another series created by Sakurai, this crossover makes sense, but it opens up more possibilities in the last line.

Whether original Smash Bros. upcoming characters Kirby and the Forgotten Land or other Nintendo franchises are yet to be seen. That’s unlikely, but is something that will excite many longtime fans. Smash Bros. will continue to thrive through events such as the official tournament series hosted by Nintendo and Panda Global, for the brand to expand its testing capabilities. Than people who fight on platforms like MultiVersus and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is coming around to fill the void, so Smash Bros. should consider doing more with the universes that make its game unique.
