Is a multiverse epic that Tom Holland described as one of the most ambitious indie superhero movies ever made, it’s fair to say we’ll be in Spider-Man: There’s no way home with a large degree of anticipation, exaggerating expectations.

We’ve got at least one superhero roaming the web, though fans are hoping for three, battling five villains. Why five, when the Sinister Six are right there waiting to be assembled? Well, we don’t know, but one theory with weight to it suggests that Sony doesn’t want the nefarious movie to debut in Kevin Feige’s Marvel Cinematic Universe, saving them instead for the Universe. Sony’s Spider-Man.

Speaking of theory, a new theory was made on Reddit, and SuperBloo presented an interesting case. We know that Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, Rhys Ifans’ Lizard, Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Thomas Haden Church’s Sandman have been teased as villains, but what if one of them not really real, but do we still have the Sinister Six?

According to theory, Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio Can Secretly Destroy The Evil Group, but Sandman will be one of his predictions, similar to how the Elementals are brought to ‘life’ in Away from home. It would fit in with the mythology established in the first two installments, deliver a fan-favorite villain, and Spider-Man: There’s no way home fans got the chance to see the full set of Sinister Six’s baddies.
