The movie Jurassic World is missing the most important ingredient
After two successful box office sequels that seek to push the franchise in a new direction, the sequel Jurassic World: Dominion, the third part in Jurassic World Sequel trilogy, which seems to end the entire dino franchise on a high note. While the newer additions feature more characters, thrilling scenes, and more dinosaurs, the sequel trilogy has become a bit divisive among fans. Much of the reason is due to the legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg’s absence from the director’s chair.

Characters like Owen Grady and Claire Dearing don’t carry the same weight or have the same emotional impact as characters like Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Ian Malcolm. Part of what was created Jurassic Park It’s fun and engaging aside from the variety of dinosaurs are the well-written characters with engaging arcs that feel believable and honest.
Spielberg, like most of the rest of his films, relies heavily on getting audiences deeply invested in the characters involved and whatever motivations they share with each other (whether that covers topics that focus on family dynamics and how they become divided or united). Spielberg’s magical touch and knowing what to focus on in each frame is an element that Jurassic World movies can use, so with three originals made a profit in Jurassic World: Dominion, the franchise finale may have just been saved.
Perhaps the most remarkable aspect in Jurassic World movies use more CGI than realism. While it is clear that the technology in 1993 was not as advanced as it is today, the visual effects are still very good by today’s standards, and much of it is Spielberg creates a seamless blend of reality and fiction. Rather than overdoing one or the other, he understands when and where to use VFX or reality to best engage the audience in the story (but still lean towards classic animation). When the life-size T-Rex cartoon vehicle struck the SUV with the kids trapped inside, that 40-foot-tall, physical dinosaur made the scene a whole lot more terrifying. . Most audiences know when they’ve seen CGI, and its redundancy can easily take them out of a story.

Spielberg is back in a Jura movies as a director might just be the thing that audiences should pay attention to, but for now, let’s just hope that Trevorrow’s Jurassic World: Dominion is the worthy ending that fans had hoped for.
