The latest American truck simulator event about transporting a giant potato

There’s nothing in America like vegetables and goofy but fun roadside attractions, and the latest American truck simulator events are putting the two together. On the one year anniversary of the Idaho DLC, the developers at SCS Software have a new event revolving around shipping a giant potato across the US.

Big Idaho Potato is a real thing (but not real potatoes) that the state-run Idaho Potato Commission built in 2012 as a sort of touring advertisement for the state’s famed potato industry. The original potato (again, not really a real potato) has since shut down and converted to an Airbnb, but the tour is back in 2021.

In-game, this is a World of Trucks community event that challenges players to collectively deliver 200,000 loads of Idaho potatoes – regular or giant will do – by August 15. If the community achieves its shared goal, everyone will receive an Idaho air freshener and an Idaho Potato patch.

Individually, players who hand over six countless Idaho potatoes and one giant potato will receive a bowl of chips and a giant salamander sticker. You can get full details about official website.

No truck game, I will never learn about Big Idaho Potato Hotel. This is truly a never-ending series of pleasures.
