The Last of Us 3: PS4, PS5, Xbox, PC, Switch release date

Fans want to know when Our Last 3 Release date will be announced. The previous game a part of share, but apparently Ellie’s story isn’t over yet. We’ll see if we’ll see a third game in the series in the future and what platforms it might release on below.

When is The Last of Us 3 release date?

Naughty Dog has not confirmed that The Last of Us 3 is in development, and no release date has been set. Director Neil Druckmann featured in a podcast in April 2021 for which he and Halley Gross wrote preliminary sketches, but the game is not currently in production.

While Abby and Ellie settled their dispute at the end of The Last of Us 2, there were still a lot of strings that could be resolved in that universe. The fireflies have already begun to reshuffle, which may prompt them to once again try to claim Ellie as she is still the only one known to have immunity to the Cordyceps fungus. Her relationship with Dina also went up in flames after she left to hunt down Abby. When the game is over, we don’t know if Ellie is planning on getting back with Jackson or if she’s headed for the unknown.

We also do not know the fate of Abby and Lev. The two plan to join the Fireflies, but is the group really reforming? It is possible that the new Fireflies will not have the same goals as the previous version. Also, there’s a good chance that slaves like the Rattlers across America today will get in Abby and Ellie’s way.

What platforms will it release on?

Given how long it takes to produce a The Last of Us game, we probably won’t see The Last of Us 3 until the end of the PS5’s lifecycle. It might not even release until PS6 comes out.
