Vogelbaugh, who is known as “Mr. Thanksgiving” is year-round for locals, no longer in the grocery business, but he now helps raise money for a holiday party for about 3,000 people a year at South Park Mall in Moline. The city has a population of about 42,000, making it one of the 4 cities along the border of Illinois and Iowa, and is the headquarters of Deere & Co, manufacturer of farm and construction equipment.
