The difference between adventure and mystery
The world of Sea of Thieves will be expanded in 2022 through Adventures and Mysteries, which will build on the fascinating sandbox lore.
Sea of Thieves has evolved a lot since its release 4 years ago. Continuous updates have added more treasures to discover, collections to collect, and stories to follow, giving pirate fans plenty to do in the engaging sandbox. . Now, like Sea of Thieves Entering its fourth year, Rare is ready to kick things off with the advent of Adventures and Mysteries.
Sea of Thieves no stranger to major content updates and story-driven adventures in form of tall stories. Adventures and Mysteries will take Tall Tales to the next level in one of the most ambitious additions Rare has made to the game. Rare want to build on the world of Sea of Thieves and created a bustling lore for players to set sail, and this new content does just that.
What an adventure in Sea of Thieves involves
One of the brand new features coming soon Sea of Thieves in 2022 is Adventures. The adventures will serve as chapters in a much larger overall storyline and will gradually be added to the game each month. Every adventure will bring Sea of Thieves player in cinematic journey cross the sea. They will be released monthly and the story will take place over a two-week period. Players will be able to complete these immersive experiences in those two weeks, but if players don’t play within that timeframe, they’re likely to miss out on the experience.
The adventures will add more iconic characters to the world of Sea of Thievesthis will make the world feel more alive and alive. After a certain number of Adventures are released, Rare will release a special adventure that should serve as the climactic end to that story. These adventures can even end in a choice that will affect the underworld depending on what the majority of players choose.
The first adventure to the sea will be called Islands are covered. The story will focus on the Golden Sands Outpost, with a mysterious mist surrounding it and causing the inhabitants of that outpost to vanish. Players must discover what is happening at the outpost and hopefully rescue the inhabitants before it is too late. Not many other stories are known, but with a release date set for February 17, players won’t have to wait long to be able to explore The Shrocted Islands for themselves.
What makes a mystery different from an adventure?
Another new type of narrative content coming soon Sea of Thieves called Mysteries. Mysteries will share some similarities with Adventures, as they will also expand upon the lore of Sea of Thieves. The big difference, however, is that to solve these mysteries, all players will have to work together by paying attention to clues both in-game and out-of-game.
Mysteries that will last more than two weeks are allotted to Adventures and will require a bit of player participation. These mysteries will be inspired by murder mysteries and ghost stories, so players will have to be best prepared to impersonate their Sherlock Holmes. Mysteries will be both a way to engage the existing community of players, and hopefully attract more with extra-game clues.
The first mystery will task players with solving famous murders Sea of Thieves character. Who that celebrity is and when they will be murdered remains a mystery, as Rare has yet to officially confirm when the first mystery will begin. It will start at some point in Season 6 and continue till the end future partsbut the exact start date is yet to be revealed.
Both Adventure and Mystery will work together to build a world alive and out of the present Sea of Thieves sandbox. If Adventures and Mysteries are a success, there could be more narrative content in the future. Players will just have to wait and see how Sea of Thieves evolution in the coming months.
