The CW Debuts First Look at Nicole Kang as Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy is officially aiming for Batwoman. Today, CW shared a first look at Nicole Kang dressed as a super god icon. After being infected with “Bat Trophy” – a mysterious thorn – longtime character Mary Hamilton (Kang) is infected – longtime character Mary Hamilton (Kang) will fully step into her new power in the finale. Costume designer Maya Mani says she created Poison Ivy’s new look “to reflect Mary’s desire to be seen and heard by those closest to her, while maintaining a unique eye for her for fun and fanciful fashion; strong shoulders and a corset to represent a trellis that points her alter ego upwards. “

The CW also released an official character description hinting at what will happen now that Mary has entered her alter ego: “Now she’s been infected by Poison Ivy, Mary Hamilton’s position Forgiving and caring we’ve come to know and love is taking a seat behind an evil and malicious version of herself.No longer satisfied with her supporting role on The Bat Team, Poison Ivy Mary uses her new-found strength to stand up, stand out, and express her deepest buried opinions and desires. … But more awaits Mary as her fate sets her free she gets to the root of her new personality, as she realizes her power blooms to give life to a long-lost and notorious botanist of Gotham.”
