The 25th Detective Conan Movie Released in April 2022
The movie is titled “TheBride of Halloween” and will focus more heavily on the police academy characters
Upcoming Detective Conan movie with title and release date. Halloween’s Bride will be the 25th movie in Popular franchises and will hit Japanese theaters on April 15, 2022.
The title and release date were revealed on Wednesday in the first 2022 issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine. An image featuring Miwako Sato and Wataru Takagi in wedding attire has been revealed along with newly revealed information.
NS upcoming movie will focus more on the police academy characters of the series. Creator Gosho Aoyama previously mentioned that academy characters will play a larger role in the 25th film, and the visual teaser seems to confirm that.
TMS Entertainment will produce the film, with Susumu Mitsunaka appointed to direct and Takahiro Okura handling the script. Mitsunaka is best known for his work on Haikyuu!! and Ink girl, while Okura worked on some Detective Conan episodes as well as the 21st and 23rd films in the franchise.
The scene of the movie will take place in Shibuya during a wedding Halloween. Miwako is attacked by a mysterious assailant during the ceremony while the serial bomber who killed Jinpei Matsuda three years before escaping. As Rei Furuya tracked down the culprit, a costumed assailant attached a bomb to his neck. This prompts Rei to call on Conan to help disarm the bomb before it’s too late.
Minami Takayama will return to voice Conan, with Wakana Yamazaki and Rikiya Koyama taking on the roles of Ran Mouri and Kogoro Mouri respectively. More news about the cast will be revealed below the line.
The 24th film in the series, Detective Conan: The Red Bullet, was initially delayed due to problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The film opens on April 16, 2021 in Japan, and will also be released in 22 other countries. English dub premieres at Anime NYC on November 21st.
