Texas 7 member Randy Halprin could get new trial after court found Judge Vickers Cunningham antisemitic

Halprin, who was serving a 30-year sentence for damage to a baby when he escaped with the Texas 7, was arrested and charged within the officer’s homicide. He maintained he didn’t “intend the loss of life of that officer. I didn’t shoot him. I didn’t pull my gun,” Halprin said in the course of the trial. However Texas’s “legislation of events” allowed for an indictment and conviction as a result of, underneath that legislation, prosecutors didn’t need to show Halprin truly killed or meant to kill the sufferer.
