Tensions in Nagaland after encounter with Indian army

According to the police report, witnesses confirmed that security forces opened fire “indiscriminately”. Violence flared up again on Sunday, when a mob of mourners vandalized and burned several buildings belonging to another unit of the Indian army in the town of Mon, nearly 60 kilometers away. The officers used white bullets, inciting nearly 700 protesters armed with sticks, pipes and machetes. One person died, and six others were wounded by bullets.
